Bio

Voss, Vera Vera Voss of Waco went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 16, 1997. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum, Chaplain Hines officiating. Mrs. Voss was born March 12, 1906 in Shiloh, Texas. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper and homemaker most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon W. Voss on Dec. 15, 1982. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Marolyn Corbin of Waco, Martha and Ron Byrd of Woodlands, Texas, Elaine and Warren Wright of Viola, Idaho, and Billie and Jim Comer of Kansas City; sister, Raye Scarbrough of Mexia; brothers, Floyd Sawyer of Georgetown, Delmer Sawyer of Houston and Donald Dean Sawyer of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family would like to express a special thanks to Ridgecrest Retirement Home Station 2 nurses and care providers and Community Hospice of Waco.
