Bio

Herald Coaster, August 26, 1968: Funeral services for Fred Sciba, 66, of Irving, a former Sugar Land resident, will be held at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday from the Triska Funeral Home Chapel and at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg, with Msgr. J.J. Tydlacka officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Sciba died Saturday afternoon in St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Opal Sciba; two stepsons, Billy Cason of Irving and Tommy Cason of Alabama; a brother, Gus Sciba of Hallettsville; and five sisters, Mrs. Emilie Hrncir, Mrs. Mary Kuhn of Taylor, Mrs. Annie Netardus, Mrs. Tracey Chovanitz, and Mrs. Justine Strauss, all of Hallettsville.
