Bio

Ronnie "Fuddy" Cook was born March 2, 1945 in Columbus, Texas to Dorothy Jane and John Henry Cook. He passed away November 17, 2014 at Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 15 days. Ronnie grew up and graduated from high school in Post, Texas in 1965. After graduation he attended Grimes business school in Lubbock, Texas for a short time before being drafted into the United States Army. Ronnie served during the Vietnam era and served stateside being stationed at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina. After his discharge in 1968, he began working for Tom Harrison delivering fuel to rural farms. Ronnie was married to Mary Geneece (Ellis) Cook at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on December 2, 1977. He continued with Tom Harrison until the late 1970's when he started with Blackkettle Service Company and through the acquisition of NAPA until his retirement in the late 1990's. Ronnie was a member of the Wheeler, Texas Volunteer Fire Department for many years, a member of the Texas American Legion and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching old westerns and war movies. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Richard Cook and 1 nephew, John David Cook. He is survived by his wife, Geneece, of the home; 5 children, Shelley Lindberg, Cheyenne, OK, Tonja Young and husband, Carlos, Davenport, FL, Tom Cook and wife, RaNita, Amarillo, TX, Travis Cook and wife, Marcie, Canyon, TX and Dusti Kirk and husband, Calvin, Cheyenne, OK; 10 grandchildren, Jordan, Derek, Tiffany, Ethan, Britton, Parker, Cody, Tyler, Conner and Caleb; 7 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Judy Hadderton, Post, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
