J. S. Rogers Rites Monday Funeral services for Joe S. Rogers, 82, area pioneer, will be held Monday at 1:30 p. m., from the Guymon Church of God with Rev. Chester Riley, pastor, officiating, assisted by William A. Cook, pastor of the First Christian Church here. Burial will be in Elmhurst cemetery in Guymon. Friends may call at the Henson Funeral Home anytime Sunday. Rogers died Saturday morning. Survivors include his wife, Edith, two daughters, Mrs. Lola Allen of Guymon, and Mrs. Duncan Kennedy, of Walsenburg, Colo, and one sister, Mrs. Bell Beller of Prague. Rogers was born in Yates Center, Kans, and came to Texas county with Mrs. Rogers in 1906 from Indian territory. They homesteaded in the Eva community before moving here. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.
