Bio
Ardeyene (Amende) Mazanec was born in Rushville, Nebraska to Elmer and Lillian (Robins) Amende. She graduated from Rushville High School and attended Chadron State College. She taught in rural schools until her marriage to Emery Mazanec in North Platte on June 17, 1946. They ranched in Sioux County until they retired in 1986. They moved to Terrytown and she attended the Missionary Fellowship Church in rural Sioux County. Ardeyene is survived by her sons Gregory Mazanec of Hemingford, Marvin and Diane Mazanec of Marsland, Howard and Marijo Mazanec of Hemingford; daughters and son-in-law Keith and Cindy (Mazanec) Pestotnik of Trabuco Canyon, CA, Ken and Pam (Mazanec) Zitterkopf of Scottsbluff; and six grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillian (Robins) and Elmer Amende, her husband Emery Mazanec, an infant son, Eugene Mazanec and her brother Adrian Amende.
