Bio
Lieutenant Colonel John J. Knott, 82, of Lincoln, passed away on May 4, 2013. John was born on May 22, 1930, the son of John F. & Rose (Kuskan) Knott in David City, Nebraska. John was retired from the Nebraska Air National Guard, with over 35 years of military service, over 5200 flying hours in the RF-4C, F-4, RF-84, F-102, T-34, T-33 and T-28 aircraft. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeff; two brothers, George & Kenneth. Survivors include: his wife, Michele; daughters, Jill (Mark) Sievers, Jennifer (Mike) Connelly; sister, Ramona Muntz; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Butherus, Maser and Love Funeral Home, Lincoln. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
