E.M. "Ed" Barnett, 78, Stinnett, died at 6 p.m. Monday in Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo. A retired guard for Phillips Petroleum Company's Plains Plant, he was a resident of Stinnett for 44 years. He was a member of the Bunavista Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Wynell King of Amarillo; three brothers, J.W. of Princeton, Ray of Dublin, and Mack of Devine; two sisters, Verdell Gammons of Richardson, Della Harris of Garland; one granddaughter, Melinda Acker of Amarillo. Funeral services are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home. (Published in Borger News Herald, February 23, 1988) ----- Funeral services for E.M. "Ed" Barnett, 78, Stinnett, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bunavista Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Lacewell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home. He is survived by one daughter, three brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter.
