Many thanks to FAG contributor Judy Johnson (#48796369) for the following obituary information: Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 25, 1981 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Mary Feuerstein Mary Feuerstein, the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth Meininger Roth, was born at Grand Island, Nebraska, on October 17, 1904, and passed unexpectedly at her home in Aurora, Nebraska on August 21, 1981, at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 4 days. She attended school in Grand Island. On February 2, 1920, she was united in marriage to John Feuerstein at Lincoln, Nebraska. They farmed in Hamilton County for 36 years, and then moved to a farm on the north edge of Harvard. They lived there until a years ago when they moved to Aurora. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary #4993 in Aurora. Mary is survived by her husband, John; 3 daughters, Mrs. Arlene VanWormer of Aurora, Mrs. Dorothy Lentz of Norton, Kansas and Mrs. Judy Carlson of Columbus, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one son, Virgil, who lost his life in World War II. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary
