Bio
Jasper Newton Connell Price was the nephew of Rebecca Connell Price. His father was Frances M. Connell. Rebecca was the 2nd wife of James L. Price who died in 1866. Jasper was born in 1869. In the 1870 census of Baker County, Alabama, listed as Newton Connell in the household of Rebecca's brother Francis M. Connell. Other records list him as Jasper Newton Price and his direct descendants are Prices. For what ever reason when he came to live with Rebecca he took the last name of Price. Parents are not named on his death certificate. It has been said that Jasper had a harsh upbringing. Jasper married Margaret Louella "Lula" Johnson about 1905 and they had 4 children to their union.
