Funeral services for Mrs. Hedwig (Oma) Henniger, 96, long-time resident of Bend were held Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. in the Howell Doran Funeral Chapel in San Saba. The Rev. J.B. Jordan officiated with burial in the Methodist Cemetery at Bend. Mrs. Henniger died Sept. 13 in a San Saba nursing home where she had resided the past four years. She was born April 5, 1883 in Austin County, the daughter of Ludwig and Sophia Mech Rinn and married Richard Henry Henniger on Nov. 29, 1904 in Austin County. The family moved to Bend in 1932 and her husband preceded her in death in 1966. Survivors include three sons, Moody, Elo and Edmund Henniger, all of Bend; three daughters, Wilma Merschen and Lola Morris, both of Bend and Elda Barnett of Coleman; one sister, Mrs. Mary Galle of Bellville, 24 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
