Bio

Denise D. Smart, 58, of Green River, Wy., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 30th 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. A longtime resident of Green River, Denise passed away following a lengthy two year illness. Denise was born February 22nd 1956 in Carlsbad, New Mexico and lived her early life in Carlsbad, where she graduated from Carlsbad High School class of 1974. She married Ernest Smart on July 17th 1974 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. They moved to Green River in 1980. Denise enjoyed spending time with her family and considered herself a “chicken and grandson wrangler”. She loved animals including her chickens and dogs, art, crafts, and most of all being Nana to her 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Pearl Ann Crenshaw and Edward Lee Crenshaw.
