ON THIS DATE ... 1941: A former Clovis school teacher had been shot and killed in Enid, Oklahoma. Authorities said Ruby Marley, formerly Ruby Graus, was shot three times and killed by her husband "when he became mentally deranged." W. T. Marley also killed himself, officials said. Graus-Marley taught 11 years at Eugene Field school before moving to Oklahoma."
