Note: The birth date of 1858 is not correct for Frank Graus. He was born in Nov. of 1871 in Middleburgh Twp, Cuyahoga Co., OH. His wife's brother, James M. Conley was born in the year 1858; he is listed on the 26 Apr 1910 Census in their household.

Frank Graus was born in November of 1871 in Middleburgh Township, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, the 2nd child of Peter and Martiana Dymek Graus. 1880 U.S. Federal Census - Cotesfield Precinct, Howard County, Nebraska, USA Household: Peter Graus (34) Martha Graus (27) FRANK GRAUS (8) Dora Graus (7) Paul Graus (6) Joseph Graus (4) John Graus (3) Mary Graus (2) Frank Graus and Miss Vina Conley were married January 3, 1900 in Schulyer, Colfax, Nebraska, USA. Frank stated his father was born in Poland and that he was born in Ohio, USA. The family is living on a general farm, which he owns (mortgaged) and he is farming on his own account. To the Hon. E.J. Lindley, Judge of the County Court of Custer County, State of Oklahoma. The petition of Vina E. Grous, a citizen of said Custer County, respectfully shows: THAT FRANK GROUS DIED INTESTATE ON OR ABOUT JUNE 21ST..1912 AT HIS HOME IN CUSTER COUNTY, STATE OF OKLAHOMA. That said deceased at the time of his death was a citizen of said Custer County, and State of Oklahoma. ..........That the names, ages, and residences of the heirs at law of the deceased, so far as known to your petitioner, are as follows: Vina E. Grous, your petitioner, widow of said deceased, whose post office address is: Custer, Okla., and aged 47 years. Harold Grous, age 19 years, residence, Custer, Okla., son of deceased. Ruby Grous, age 16 years, residence, Custer, Okla., daughter of deceased. Ralph Grous, age 13 years, residence, Custer Okla., son of deceased........... This case file was not settled until October 22, 1937, which was executed by Harold Graus, following the death of his mother, Vina E. Graus in 1935. The following was added at the request of [email protected] (great-granddaughter of Peter Graus). Frank also had a sister, Mary Graus Brown of Schuyler, Nebraska, who died at the hands of her husband. Her write-up was found in the St. Paul, Nebraska Advantage paper of Sept. 26, 1907. Peter Graus, father of Mary and her sister, Martha, who was born 1884, went to Schuyler to the funeral. Her mother died one year later and was sick at this time. There is no marker that can be found for now and it is not sure which cemetery she is buried in. Mary was born in 1879 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and died Sept. 21, 1907 in Schuyler, Nebraska.
