March 26, 1951 - September 27, 2014 Steven Michael Dietrich was born March 26, 1951 in Houston, TX and passed away in Carrollton, TX on September 27, 2014 after a long battle with colon cancer. He spent his school years in Lutheran schools with graduation from Lutheran High School in Houston. He studied at several Lutheran colleges graduating from Christ Seminary-Seminex with a Masters in Divinity. He served parishes in the Dallas area from 1981 to 1989. His life-long love of music was expressed through working as a church organist and choir director, while working for Rowe Vending Machines before becoming a partner in Intech Labs/Computer Services. He spent the last twenty years as Music Director at Good Shepherd. He was designated Cantor Emeritus upon his retirement. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Ann and a son, Michael; his parents, Henry and Valeria Dietrich, his sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Kenneth Wright, his brother and sister-in-law, David and Terri Dietrich, sister-in-laws, Doris Bubolz, Sue and Kent Saathoff and Delores and John Wade, one great aunt, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be held, Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 1PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4809 S. Colony Blvd., The Colony, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests the memorials be made to a charity of your choice, or to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, The Colony, TX.
