Bio
Candace was the 5th of 11 children of John William Adams and Catherine Ann Forney. Candace married Doc Cole on April 27, 1878 in Westerville, Decatur Co, IA. They had 9 children including Susie Dean [orphaned child of Silas Dean and Armina Mickael;Susie married Walter David Boles]. Their children were an infant son[died 1879], Bertha Nellie[married William Franklin Burchett], Minnie Adaline[married Curtis Elwood Adams], James Alvice[married Minnie Armina Foland], Francis Wesley "Frank"[married Flora Mabel Fox], Esther Merle[married John L. Stark], Kathryn Marie[married Floyd Edward Jones] and Bessie Lorene[married John Benjamin Cross].
