His Obit appeared in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Monday, February 17, 1992. It reported that "Hardage P. Cooper, a retired manager of power plant design for Texas Electric Service Co., died Saturday. He was 87." "Mr. Cooper was born in Farmersville. He graduated from Harlingen High School and from Texas A&M in 1926. As a mechanical engineer, Mr. Cooper worked for the electric company for 42 years. He was a member of the Prime Mover Engineers. He worked with the Boy Scouts for eight years and was elected to the Order of the Arrow. He was the widower of Ella Emily Cooper." Survivors: A son and daughter; and 4 grandchildren.
