Services for Fred Thompson, 88, 1115 E. 15th, are 2 p.m. Monday in the Central Church of Christ and burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery. Bud Ross will officiate and arrangements are under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home. Mr. Thompson died Friday at a local hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1894 in Duncan, Indian Territory, to Robert Stuart and Molly Stigall Thompson and came to this area in 1929 from McLean, Texas. He was a retired rancher who married Hazel Groves June 19, 1979 in Stonewall. Mr. Thompson was a member of the Church of Christ and veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Hazel of the home, one daughter, Pearl Williams, Azle, Texas: four sons, Roy, Happy, Texas, Fred, Amarillo, Texas, and Marshall, Holdenville: and 17 grandchildren. Bearers will be Aubry Gene Thompson, Robert Thompson, Roy Thompson, Bill Williams, Fred Thompson, Marshall Thompson, Roy Don Thompson and Junior Watson.
