Bio

Billie Henry Baxter, age 80, of Richardson, Texas, passed away October 4, 2014. He was born December 5, 1933 in McKinney, Texas, to Henry O. and Vivian (Freeman) Baxter. On February 14, 1959, Billie married Rita Smith in Allen, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Billie retired from the Department of Defense, after over 35 years of service as a systems analyst. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Richardson. He is survived by his wife, Rita Baxter of Richardson, Texas; children, Tina Baxter Archibeque of Frisco, Texas, Tonya Baxter McLaughin and husband Kevin of Houston, Texas and Ronald Baxter of Richardson, Texas; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, June Baxter of Allen, Texas. Billie is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Melba Kirkwood. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m., Monday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
