FORT WORTH -- C.C. Lunsford, 79, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: charity or church of choice. C.C. was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Titus County. He worked 47 years for Swift & Co. After he retired, he worked with the Texas Baptist Men's Camp Builders and was a Baptist deacon. C.C. was a 50-year Mason of Riverside Masonic Lodge. He was a skilled craftsman and woodworker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Lois Lunsford, and brothers, Leroy and Luke. Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Carolyn Lunsford; children, Chris J. Black and husband, Ray, Perry Lunsford and wife, Elaine, and Linda Kay Martin, all of Fort Worth, and Brenda Fay Ross and husband, Don, of Mangum, Okla.; grandchildren, Kevin Black, Perry Allen Lunsford, Christopher Lunsford (named after C.C.), Daniel Ross, Blake Martin, Cliff Lunsford, Brandon Martin, Tina Black, Elizabeth Martinez and Rashae Ross; great-grandson, Christopher Martinez, who was also named after C.C.; sisters, Gertrude Rees of Virginia and Bedie Cook of Gilmer; and brother, S.D.
