H. ROY COWDEN, 59, DIES; FORMER WABASH EMPLOYEE Hubert Roy Cowden, 59, died at 2:30 o'clock this morning in McCormick Hospital. He had been in ill health for several years and seriously ill a week. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Opal Shoemaker, Roscoe, Calif.; two sons, Luther Cowden, U. S. Navy, and Marshall Cowden, Moberly; three sisters, Mrs. Tom Farrar, Los Angeles, Mrs. J. C. Mead, Moberly, and Mrs. Chester Davidson, Hannibal; and four brothers, Forrest and Sterling Cowden, Moberly, C. R. Cowden, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Bill Cowden, Lawrence, Kas. Mr. Cowden was born in Boone County and had lived his entire life in Boone and Randolph Counties. Until his retirement seven years ago he was employed by the Wabash Freight House.
