Valentine Albert Macht, 82, was born March 3, 1914 in Topeka KS. Died at home in Porterville, after a long illness in the afternoon. Married to Stella Macht for 51 years. Retired Packing Foreman with Baird-Neece Packing for 36 years. Resided in Porterville, CA, for 51 years. Formerly of Topeka, KS. Mr. Macht was a veteran of U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was an avid gardner. Mr. Macht was a member of St. Anne's Church in Porterville. Survived by his wife, Stella Macht of the home; daughter, Darlene Brassfield of Porterville, CA; brothers, George Macht of Julesburg, CO and Francis Macht of Denver, CO; sisters, Anna Marie Vogt of North Platte, NE and Rose Marie Broussard of Orange, TX. Visitation Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Whitehurst Loyd Chapel in Porterville, CA. Buried in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Porterville, CA. Graveside services on Thursday Sept. 9, 1996, at 9:30 a.m. by Fr. Scott Daugherty from St. Anne's Church.
