Mrs. Zelma Fallin Hardage, 81, of West Point died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001 at Southwest Christian Hospice in Union City, Ga. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. at Pasley Fletcher Funeral Home in Thomaston, Ga., with the Revs. Mark McGee and Dan Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens in Thomaston. Mrs. Hardage is survived by three sons, Charles E. (Judy) Hardage Jr. of Lanett, Timothy W. Hardage of Athens, Ga., and Phillip D. (Carolyn) Hardage of Dyersburg, Tenn; her daughter, Becky H. (Lewis) Dickson of Fayetteville, Ga.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her brother, Mr. Wilson Fallin of Milledgeville, Ga.; and her sister, Mrs. Myra Gibson of Thomaston. Born Aug. 30, 1919 in Thomaston, Mrs. Hardage was the seventh of 13 children born to J.C. and Annie Fallin. She will be remembered most as a mother for qualities that included her tenderness, gentleness, kindness to others, her sense of humor, her smile, her willingness to help, her standard of discipline, her unconditional love, her forgiveness, her ability to celebrate life, her gift of sharing, her talent for establishing family traditions, her skill to create joy out of sadness, and most of all, she will be remembered by her incredible faith and teaching her children the importance of having God in their lives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles E. Hardage Sr. The family requests that contributions be made to Southwest Christian Hospice, 7225 Lester Rd., Union City, Ga., 30291. Pasley Fletcher Funeral Home in Thomaston is handling arrangements.
