William Newton Simmons, age 80, of Kirbyville, Texas died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be 2pm Friday, September 26, 2014 at Call Junction Baptist Church in Kirbyville. Burial will be in Kirbyville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 9pm Thursday at our funeral home in Kirbyville. Mr Simmons was born December 11, 1933 in San Augustine County to Lonnie and Lena Simmons. He had lived in Kirbyville for the past 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Frances Cloud Simmons of Kirbyville, sons, Ivy "Sonny" Simmons and Alisah of Pearland, Texas, Arvel Whitener and Mary of Kirbyville, daughters, Sherry Cook of Houston, Charlotte Keel of Kirbyville, Paula Fawcett and Gary of Kirbyville, Deborah Hossley and Bill Whitehurst of Nacogdoches, Texas, sister, Lavonia Yawn of Ennis, Texas and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
