TULETA - Shirley Sawey Staples, Age 77 of Tuleta, TX passed away on September 5, 2014 in Tuleta, TX. Shirley was born on December 20, 1936 in Choate, TX to the late George David and Edith Hunt Sawey. On February 22, 1953 she married Tommy Staples, Sr. in Choate, TX who preceded her in death on March 31, 2010. She was the owner/operator of T&S Oil Corporation in Tuleta, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a devout member of The First Baptist Church in Tuleta. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Tommy Staples, Sr.; her parents George David and Edith Hunt Sawey; son Tommy Staples, Jr.; brother Richard Sawey and 2 grandsons. Graveside Services will be held In the Choate Cemetery.
