ROSALEE KAY SPUDICH HIGHLAND, IN / FORMERLY OF EAST CHICAGO, IN Rosalee Kay Spudich, age 74, of Highland, formerly of East Chicago, passed away September 5, 2014. Rosalee is survived by her children: Edward "Spud" Spudich, Nancy Spudich- Zellers and Ronald (Cathy) "Spud" Spudich; grandchildren: Randall and Amy Zellers; aunt Sylvia Mae Wilson; sister, Carolyn Applegate; brother-in-law, Donald (late Barb) Spudich; step brothers: John (Phyllis) Wood and Robert (Susan) Wood; brother-in-law, Jim (late Pat) Gilmore; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard "Pooky" Spudich; parents Roy Furry and Hallie Wood; sister, Joyce Juarez. Rosalee was born in Flora, IL and graduated from East Chicago Roosevelt High class of '57. She worked for Blaskovich Chevrolet and then for Henry F. Eggers as a Bookkeeper for 22 years. Rosalee was a member and past President of: Highland Grandmothers, Fireman's Auxiliary and East Chicago Knights of Columbus. She was also a member of St. Mary Rosary Society and the Keenagers. Rosalee battled and survived cancer twice in her life and was a selfless woman; putting others before herself. "Mom never knew a stranger" -------------------- Rosalee married Richard Spudich in East Chicago, Indiana on Jan. 10, 1959.
