Hermina "Hattie" Hubik, 100, of Hillsboro, formerly of Hubbard, passed away Monday, March 6, 2006, in Hillsboro. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Church of the Nativity B.V.M. in Penelope, with Msgr. Frank Miller as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near Penelope. Hattie was born near Penelope, Hill County, Texas, to the late Frank and Josephine (Navratilova) Dudik. As a child, she attended school in Penelope. On Oct. 12, 1927, she married Joe. G. Hubik, in Penelope. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, on July 8, 1976; a daughter, Dorothy Matula; six brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include daughter, Georgia Hutyra and husband, Patrick, of Hillsboro; son, Ervin Hubik, of Hubbard; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Julia Machac, of Hubbard.
