Herald Coaster, May 22, 1978: Funeral services for Sophie Vacek, 82, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the Davis and Dawson Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Mrs. Vacek died Saturday evening at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. She is survived by her husband, Vaclav Vacek, of Rosenberg. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at Davis and Dawson Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
