Howard County Herald, St Paul, Howard, NE 11-1-1954 HARVEY RITES ON SATURDAY Arch B. Harvey, 74, Died from Heart attack Early Thursday Arch B. Harvey, 74, was paid final tribute at services Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at Keating's Mortuary and 2:15 at the Presbyterian Church. Dr Alton Kaul, Grand Island Presbyterian Church officiated. Pallbearers were nephews Willard Johansen, William Johansen, Earl Harvey, Milton Moeller, Wilfred Safarik and Joseph Safarik. Interment was made in Elmwood Cemetery Arch B. Harvey passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly early Thursday morning at his home. He was 74 years of age He was born at Jamesville, WI on Feb 6, 1880 to James and Ann Harvey. Shortly after his birth his parents came to Howard county where they homesteaded north and west of Farwell. It was here that he grew to manhood On Feb 15, 1904 he and Miss Antonia Safarik were married. A daughter, Mildred and three sons Alfred, Milroy and Henry were born to them. They made their home on a nearby farm for two years. After the death of his father he purchased the home place and lived there until 1949 when they retired and moved to Grand Island. They lived in Grand Island for two years, thence coming to St Paul where they had purchased a home. Mr Harvey was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Farwell, In his younger years he enjoyed and played the violin. Last February he and Mrs Harvey celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Anna Louise and a brother Robert He is survived by his wife Antonia, a daughter Mrs Frank L. Blazek, Grand Island; Three sons Alfred, Hastings; Henry, St Paul; and Milroy, Lincoln.18 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two brothers J. A. Harvey, Dannebrog; Wm G. Harvey, St Paul; three sisters Mrs John Gibson and Mrs Belle Johansen, St Paul; Mrs Wm Moeller, Dannebrog.
