Services for Charlie Robert Flowers, 71, of 1100 West St., will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Colonial Chapel of the Sullivan Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Cave Springs Cemetery. Mr. Flowers died at Memorial Hospital Monday after a lengthy illness. A lifetime resident of Harrison County, Mr. Flowers was born on July 4, 1905 in the Cave Springs Community. He was the son of Mr. And Mrs. James Thomas Flowers. Mr. Flowers received his education at the Cave Springs Schools and Marshall High School. On April 29, 1927, he married the former Pauline Harrington in Marshall. He was a retired carman, once employed by the Texas and Pacific Railroad. He worked for the railroad form 1923 until his retirement in August, 1970. A member of the Parkview Baptist Church, Mr. Flowers was also a member of the Carmen of America. Survivors include his widow; one daughter; two grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; stepmother; and a number of nieces and nephews. One son, Bobby Flowers died in 1950.
