Bio

Kenneth Wise died suddenly on October 1, 2011 in Houston, Texas, at the age of 61. Originally from Lubbock, Ken resided in Houston for the past thirty-five years. He was a loving son, father and grandfather. His artistic talent as a painter, sense of humor, and hard-earned wisdom truly made him our "Sage". Ken became one of Houston's leading office leasing brokers in a career that spanned three decades. He was the leasing representative of such notable office projects as Four Oaks Place, Heritage Plaza, Weslayan Tower and completed some of the city's largest office leases, including Union Texas Petroleum, Texaco and Telecheck. He was known for his innovative and creative approach to marketing. Much loved, his loss is mourned by his children Jason Wise and Heather Wise McLain; three grandchildren, Alex, McKenzie, & Connor; by his mother, Billie Schwantz; and his brothers, Gary and Randy Schwantz. A memorial service will be held to remember and celebrate his life on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Waller Baptist Church, 2520 Cherry Street, Waller, Texas 77484. The family will begin receiving guests in the Fellowship Hall at 12:00 pm with the Memorial Service beginning in the Sanctuary at 2:00 pm. Published in Houston Chronicle on Oct. 19, 2011
