Bernard Kucera Dies in Hawaii Bernard Kucera, 28, formerly of Penelope, died Sunday morning in a Naval hospital at Hawaii from injuries received during an explosion. Services are pending at Kotch Funeral Home at West. Mr. Kucera was born and reared at Penelope. He graduated from Penelope High School in 1966 and attended Texas State Technical Institute. He served in Viet Nam one year and had been stationed in Hawaii since April. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Danolda Kucera of Hawaii; a son, Bill Kucera of Hawaii; two daughters, Linda Kucera and Tonie Kucera, both of Hawaii; his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Kucera of Mount Calm; and three brothers, Robert Kucera and Johnny Kucera, both of Penelope, and David Kucera of Mt. Calm.
