Bio

Oleta Rowland, 82, of Hewitt, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006. Services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, at First Baptist Church Hewitt with the Rev. Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Park in Pflugerville Oleta was born in Sharp, Texas, to the late Henry Clay and Annie Maybelle Burkhart. She married John E. Rowland in 1952. Both were members of First Baptist Church in Hewitt. Oleta was preceded in death by her husband; and two brothers, Raymond and Lewis Burkhart. Survivors include daughters, Charlsie Rowland, of Hewitt, and Barbie Dutton and husband, Mike; grandsons, Jon Michael and Zachary, of Woodway; sisters, Dorothy Stepkovitch and Grace Maxwell, both of Austin; brother, Floyd Burkhart, of San Marcos; and many nieces and nephews.
