Bio

Originally from Searcy County, Arkansas Willis H. Kuykendall enlisted in the US Army on Sept. 4, 1918 and was honorably discharged on Dec. 17, 1918. He was first married to Emma Sutterfield, Sept., 16, 1916. They were married in Searcy Co., Arkansas. Emma died circa 1918. This marriage produced a daughter, Juanita Bernice Kuykendall, born circa 1917. He was next married to Ada, (Adar) M. Kuykendall, Aug., 22, 1920, in Campbell, Searcy Co., Arkansas. An unnamed daughter, and a son, Jimmie Lee Kuykendall (1936-2008), were born of this marriage. (Sources: U.S., Headstone Applications for Military Veterans, 1925-1963.
