BURWELL — Iris Mae Tvrdik, 89, of Burwell died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burwell. Burial will be in the Douglas Grove Cemetery near Comstock. The Rev. Mark Maresh will officiate. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Tvrdik was born May 1, 1925, in Grand Island to John and Agnes (Hosek) Wells. Survivors include three daughters, Karon and Bill Robbins of Rogers, Ark., Cindy Miller of Bentonville, Ark., and Cec Wilson of Thedford; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1975 and by an infant son, Dennis.
