The Osceola Sentinel Tribune, Osceola, Iowa on Thursday, December 28th, 1989 Denise Michelle Grimm Newton, daughter of Terry Grimm and Eleanor Donaldson, was born June 13, 1961 at Osceola and died Dec. 10, 1989 as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident. She was 28 years old. She attended Clark Community School and graduated in 1979. She was married to Dean Newton on Nov. 22, 1980 and to this union were born two sons and two daughters, Jill, Nathan, Chad and Autumn. After graduation Mrs. Newton moved to Des Moines where she worked for Allied Group Insurance for six years as well as Meredith Corporation. She spent the last year as a devoted homemaker and mother. Mrs. Newton enjoyed animals and outdoor activities. Favorite pastimes included watching daily soap operas, reading and talking on the phone. Denise also had a special love for babies. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jill; three grandfathers, one grandmother; and a nice. Survivors are her three children, Nathan, Chad and Autumn and their father, Dean Newton; her father, Terry Grimm and wife, Sue of Des Moines, her mother Eleanor Donaldson and husband, David of Weldon; three sisters, Kristy Handrock of Murray, Tina Wallace and husband, Ray of Des Moines, Kara Donaldson of Weldon; three brothers, Brett Grimm and wife, Marcia of Osceola, Scott Grimm and wife Ronda of Des Moines, Kirk Grimm of Woodburn; six nephews; one niece; grandmother, Maxine Owens of Leon; and special friend, Gregory Reynolds of Hamilton, Ill.; and numerous relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola Thursday, Dec. 14. Burial as in the Maple Hill Cemetery at Osceola. The Rev. Larry Owens of Leon officiated the services.
