Bio

Lillian Lucile "Lucile" Kokes,73 August 11, 1917 ~ March 7, 1991 Lillian Lucile was born to Anton and Mary (Perkins) Kokes. Bohemian was spoken in their home. The family had a high regard for education, and Lillian's brother Rupert graduated from pharmacy college, while Lillian earned a teaching degree. Although her first name was Lillian, she was often known by her middle name, Lucile. A newspaper clipping from Burt County, August 20, 1941, describes Lucile and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Kokes, having supper with friends in Wilsonville, Nebraska, as Lucile began her teaching contract in the Wilsonville schools.
