Fort Bend Herald, January 4, 2009: Edward Steinocher entered eternal rest on Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at the age of 66. He was born Feb. 10, 1942 in La Grange to Ed Steinocher and Annie Shulak Steinocher. He was baptized in the Catholic Church of La Grange. Later he completed the Rite of Confirmation at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Edward grew up attending schools in Moulton, El Campo, and Rosenberg. He graduated from Lamar High School in Rosenberg and attended Wharton County Jr. College. Edward's first job was working with photographer Jerry Humpola in Rosenberg. Then he managed the Cole Theater for about seven years before opening his own business -- Steinocher's Photography. He retired about nine years ago because of health reasons. Edward was married to Bernice Sbrusch who worked with him in his photography business, and she also taught school. They had one adopted child, Jeffrey. Edward was preceded in death by his father, Ed Steinocher, and by his wife, Bernice. He is survived by his mother, Annie Steinocher; and by his son, Jeffrey Steinocher; his uncle, Melvin Shulak; two sisters-in-law, Delores Sbrusch and Ardis Barcak; and two cousins, Peggy Nagel and Bonnie Calkins. The funeral service is at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at New Covenant Fellowship Church (1412 Brazos Street, Rosenberg). Committal Service is at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg. Memorials may be made to New Covenant Fellowship Church.
