Victor Egr, 87, of David City, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, at David Place in David City. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City, with the Monsignor Adrian Herbek officiating. Burial is 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery in Plasi, with military rites by American Legion Post 125 of David City. Visitation is from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. today at Roberts-Chermok Funeral Home in David City, and after 6:30 p.m. today at the church, with a 7:30 p.m. rosary. Mr. Egr was born Feb. 17, 1917, near Prague, to James and Mary (Polak) Egr. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Josephine Bouc Aug. 19, 1946, in Wahoo. He lived in the Plasi and Prague areas until moving to David City in 1982. He was a farmer. He was a member of American Legion Post 125. He enjoyed roses. Survivors include one son, James (Bernadette) Egr of David City; five sisters, Betty (Leonard) Zimmerman of Wahoo, Adeline (Milo "Mike") Vasa of Weston, Laura (Cory) Daro of David City, Michelle Egr of Omaha and Allison Egr of David City; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife April 16, 1999; and one son, Douglas.
