Bio

Died Saturday, July 19th, 2014 at his home in Florrisant, CO. Born in Dwight, NE, April 22, 1936 to the late Jacob and Emily Hotovy. Donald graduated from Assumption High School, May 14, 1954. Enlisted in the Army May 2, 1957 and was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado. Discharged in 1959 and married his wife Patricia Ann Depperschmidt September 26, 1959. Moved to Omaha and raised 3 children. Donald was a man of God and a profound member of the AA community for over 33 years. Donald is survived by his ex-wife Patricia Hotovy; sons, Donald Hotovy of Omaha, Dale Hotovy of Omaha; daughter Deanna Hotovy of Florissant, CO; sisters, Darlene Divis of David City, NE, Arlene Grubbs of Fort Worth, TX; and brother, Jacob Hotovy of Lincoln, NE; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. MEMORIAL GRAVESIDE SERVICES 1:30pm Sunday, August 10 at Dwight Assumption Cemetery, Dwight, NE. Memorials may be sent to your local Alcoholics Anonymous chapter office.
