Helen was the youngest of nine children born to Richard David and Sarah (Whittington) Sessions. She married James Conway Pauley in 1877 and they had nine children: Senora Helen 'Nora', Zilpah, Katie, John, Richard David, Joseph, Bessie, Ella May and John. McCurtain Gazette, OK July 5,1941 MRS. HELEN PAULEY Haworth, July 5--Funeral rites were held at 11 a.m. today at the Redland Cemetery for Mrs. Helen Pauley, 83, who passed away at 12:25 a.m. Thursday at her home here. Rev. Johnson of Haworth officiated. Arrangements were under direction of the Wilson Funeral Home of Idabel. Survivors include three sons; Dick Pauley, Refugio,TX.; Joe Pauley,Haworth; John Pauley, Minden, LA: three daughters, Mrs. J.M. McCain, Broken Bow; Mrs. M.E. Medford, Roosevelt; Miss Bessie Pauley, Haworth; one step-daughter, Mrs. O.F. Williams, Idabel; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, Mrs. Earl Cook and Miss Cecil Williams Idabel, are two of the granddaughters. Mrs. Pauley had been a member of the Methodist church for the past 60 years. She had resided here since 1905. Pallbearers were R.D. Sargent, Robert E. Lee, J.A. Casey, Carl Dollarhide, Bernice Daniels and Curley Lynch.
