Bio

Bessie was the seventh of nine children born to James Conway and Helen (Sessions) Pauley. She never married. (Note)Bessie was born in the Indian Territory, before Oklahoma became a state. McCurtain Gazette Monday February 12,1973 BESSIE PAULEY SERVICES HELD Miss Bessie Pauley, 79, died Friday, February 9, in the McCurtain Memorial Hospital. She was born March 10, 1893 in Cerrogordo and had been a resident of McCurtain County for 75 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Mrs. John Pauley and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday after­noon at the Norwood-Welch Chapel with Rev. Delbert Carter officiating. Burial in the Redland Cemetery was under the direction of Norwood-Welch Funeral Home.
