VINSON, Joseph/John F. 1827-1863 "Capt CO F 57 Regt Ga Inf CSA" Residence Crawford County GA; Enlisted on 10/14/1861 as a 2nd Lieutenant. On 10/14/1861 he was commissioned into "F" Co. GA 2nd State Troops He was Mustered Out on 4/10/1862 (Estimated date of MO) On 5/24/1862 he was commissioned into "F" Co. GA 57th Infantry He died of disease on 1/12/1864 at Crawford County, GA (Died chronic diarrhoea) He was listed as: Sent 6/11/1863 Crawford County, GA Sick 6/11/1863 Selma, AL (Chronic diarrhoea) Promotions: 1st Lieut 12/4/1861 Capt 5/24/1862 Submitters Note: The cemetery listing for this person lists him as Joseph, however, the Civil War Dadabase lists this soldier as John, same information, no Joseph listed.
