Bio
Floyd Ellis Sturdivant, 86, of Crossett died Sunday, February 16, 2004, at Ashley County Medical Center. Born April 28, 1917, in Strong to James Benjamin and Carrie Louise Ball Sturdivant, he was a retired lathe operator for Georgia-Pacific Plywood and an active member of Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church for over 20 years. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Helen Sturdivant; two sons, James Ellis Sturdivant of Pine Bluff and Floyd Edward Sturdivant of Palm Coast, FL; two daughters, Mary Sturdivant Stell of Seward, NE ,and Sue Sturdivant Nolan of Crossett; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, at 2 p.m. at Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie Dubose and Don Justice officiating. Burial was to be at Promise Land Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crosse
