Delores Ann Hraban Svoboda Obit Delores Ann (Hraban) Svoboda was born Aug. 28, 1929, in Bruno, the daughter of James and Emma (Stoupa) Hraban and passed away on Oct. 2, 2013, in Lincoln at the age of 84 years, 1 month, 4 days. Delores attended rural school near Bruno and later Weston School. On April 20, 1949, she was united in marriage to Matej' "Mike" Frank Svoboda in Dwight and their marriage was blessed with two sons, Michael and Gary. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Seward where Delores worked at Johnson Locker and did cleaning for Seward VFW Post 4755. Delores was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and Seward VFW Post 4755 Auxiliary. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word puzzle books and going to garage sales. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, James and Emma Hraban; her husband, Mike Svoboda in 1979; four brothers, Frank, John, James and Alfred "Zeus" Hraban; and sisters, Agnes Steinbach and Mary Tejral. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Monica Svoboda of Wahoo and Gary and Esther Svoboda of Seward; three grandchildren, Joshua Svoboda, Mike Svoboda and his fiance, Tessa Main, and Megan Svoboda; her sister, Mildred Synovec of Huntington Beach, California; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward V. and Leon a Svoboda, Seward, Delores "Dottie" Hraban, Wahoo; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Rosary was held Oct. 6, 2013, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Christopher Barak officiating. Mass of Christian Burial was Oct. 7 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Graveside service and interment was Oct. 7, 2013, at Seward Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Svoboda family for future designation.
