Alternate first name, "Vaclav" -------------------------------------------- Funeral Service For Wencil Vasicek Held in Ord on Saturday Funeral services for Wencil F. Vasicek were held Saturday, July 17, 1965, at 10 am at the Ord Methodist Church. Interment was in the Ord City Cemetery. Wencil F. Vasicek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vasicek was born August 4, 1874, in Czechoslovakia and died at the Valley County Hospital, July 14, 1965. He was 90 years old. He came directly to Valley County from Czechoslovakia with his parents in 1887. He was united in marriage to Mary Sedlacek, October 2, 1900, at Ord. After marriage they engaged in farming and continued until 1938 when they left the farm and moved to Ord where he worked as a carpenter. He was a member of Denice ZCBJ Lodge No. 14. Mrs. Vasicek died in 1958. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Helen Beranek, of Dix; Mrs. Hattie Kasper, Mrs. Emma Adamek and Mrs. Alice Urbanski, all of Ord, and Mrs. Evelyn Clark of Rapid City, S.D.; two son, George of Denver and Richard of Longmont, Colo.; 17 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
