Viola Alice Roberson Viola Alice Roberson of Waco passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at a Temple hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Waco with Dr. Eric Holleyman officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. She was born in Fairfield the daughter of Glen Sherrill Emmons and Frances Ina Sophia Kennedy Emmons. She was a member of Huaco Hawkers, Sul Ross Seniors Choir, and Meadowbrook Baptist Church. She was a PBX operator, retiring with many years of service. She worked as an operator in Rosebud, Riesel, Providence Hospital, Sears & Roebuck, and Montgomery Ward. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters; and a daughter, Brenda Joyce Boiles. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Doris Fay Jones of Lott; a brother, Duane Emmons of Cleburne; a sister, Mrs. Cleo Lett of Mt. Park, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Barry Jones of Duncanville and Charles Boiles of Waco; a granddaughter, Shawntell Boiles of Waco; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. -from Waco Tribune-Herald, 10/17/99, 4B
