Bio
Vivian Jarmin Stansbury, 87, our beloved mother; mother-in-law; grandma; and great-grandma fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at her home in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born August 10, 1926, in Osceola, Nebraska, daughter of Osce and Harold Jarmin. Vivian was a member of St. Michael Orthodox Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. Also, she held dear her daughter and son-in-law's churches over the years, where she gained many friends. Vivian was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Herbert (Jim) Stansbury; and sister, Corrine Jarmin Petersen. She is survived by her son, James Stansbury (Cheryl); daughter, Janet Poole (Bill); son, John Stansbury (Patricia); daughter, Judith Leep (John); daughter, Jennifer Sawchak (Fr. Timothy); fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; brothers, Harold Jarmin and Waldo Jarmin; and a host of loving relatives and friends. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at St. Michael Orthodox Church, 3701 St. Michael Church Drive, Louisville with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
