AUSTIN -- The funeral for Theresa Chapek will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lutheran Church in Hayward, Minn., with the Rev. Scott Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Bohemian National Cemetery in Myrtle, Minn. Mrs. Chapek, 97, of 105 Fifth St. N.W., died Saturday afternoon (June 15, 1996) at the Ostrander Nursing Home. Theresa Svejkovsky was born Oct. 14, 1898, in Zbiroha, Czechoslovakia. On Dec. 20, 1920, she married John Chapek in Austin. Survivors include two sons, Elmer of Albert Lea and Donald of Austin; three daughters, Alice Hofner and Lillian Dolan, both of Austin, and Violet Chapek of Grand Meadow; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
