Herald Coaster, May 19, 2002: Funeral services for Albina Witek Fojtik, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of Needville, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, at the Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Needville, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Rev. Dan Walker will officiate the services. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at the Davis Funeral Chapel in Needville. Albina was born Dec. 16, 1914 in Wallis to John and Emily Witek, and she passed away Thursday, May 16, 2002, at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond. Her husband of 36 years preceded her in death on May 31, 1969. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Julie Witek, Millie Koehne, and John, Frank, Ladjie, and William Witek. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Stavinoha and her husband, Brooks of Richmond; a son, Alex Fojtik and his wife, Carolyn, of Needville; grandchildren, Barbara Lindemann and her husband, Tony, Derek Fojtik and his wife, Michelle, James Stavinoha and his wife, Joyce, and Michelle Gonzales and her husband, Tony; and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Derek Fojtik, James Stavinoha, Tony Gonzales, Tony Lindermann, Michael Lindermann, Leslie Pieper, Larry Fojtik, Willie Witek, Everett Kuban, Robert Kuban, and Willie Witek. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, (281) 341-8800.
