age 81 years, 1 month, 21 days The Fremont County Herald, Feb 10, 1920 -- "Hamburg News" -- Another old settler of Hamburg has passed away. Mr. Nicholas Hilger died February 5, 1920 at his home in Hamburg at the age of 81 years. His wife preceded him a number of years ago. He leaves four children to mourn his loss, Lewis and Frank of Hamburg, Mrs. John Ruedy of St. Joseph, Missouri and Mrs. Tillie Leach of California, the latter being unable to be here. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church and interment at the Catholic cemetery conducted by Rev. Father O'Donald. [shared by Contributor 4939507]
